This year, we were blessed with a volunteer photographer who inspired us to see the world visually. While Edmund was here, he took pictures of every activity we are involved in, showed us the power of images and gave us confidence in our own abilities to capture them. Each project has a digital camera and almost all of us have attended at least one of Edmund’s photography workshops. The archive of photos we now possess has made presentations a snap to put together – there is always a perfect illustration for the point we are trying to make!

With digital technology, it is tempting and all too easy to create monster collections of largely unusable stuff. So we are disciplining ourselves from the beginning to weed out the duplicates and the unusables and filing what remains according to subject. Often the same photo appears in several different folders (Cute Kids, Activity Based Learning, Training, Group Work) – but that’s the beauty of a database!
