With so many new approaches to disability and rehabilitation, many people find themselves in uncharted territory, suddenly having to cope with terminology, equipment, procedures and medications they would never have dreamed of before disability became a part of their lives. It is inspiring to see how people rise to the challenge, educating themselves about G-tubes and calipers, in-dwelling catheters and convulsions, becoming true experts in their own right.
